How do I create a bulleted list?
The ability to create a
bulleted list (bullets, bullet points) is a really neat feature of the text editor.
The way that text is handled by the text editor however can mean you may get unstuck.
Here is a simple process to ensure that you can create perfect bulleted lists using the text editor time after time.
- Type the text you want to use in the text editor - hitting return at the end of each line.
- Select all the lines that you want to be part of the bulleted list.

- While the text is still selected, click the bulleted list menu item on the text editor.

Voila - your text is in a beautiful bulleted list.
Don't forget to click the Save button to save your changes!
Still having problems?
Not all browsers are equal... Despite its ubiquity, earlier versions of Internet Explorer were particularly problematic having bugs in the way they ran the code that makes the text editor - at least in some versions of Internet Explorer - yuk!
Thankfully, Microsoft listened to the online community and Internet Explorer 8 is a much improved browser - well done Microsoft! Upgrade now!
Here are some tips to solve Internet Explorers problems:
1. Upgrade your version of Internet Explorer to the latest version - currently Internet Explorer 8 - it is great!
2. Type your list directly into the editor - do not paste into it.
3. Use the ENTER button on your keyboard to create new lines (not CNTRL-ENTER)
